Sharon Springs Harvest Festival returns for 16th year

The Sharon Springs Chamber of Commerce will host the 16th annual Sharon Springs Harvest Festival on Sept. 19 and 20, 2026. Admission is free.

More than 50 vendors – local farms, artisan makers, distilleries, vintage dealers and community nonprofits – will line Main Street and the lawns of the American Hotel and Sharon Sprigs Fine Dried Florals & Gifts. The weekend also features a beer and wine garden pouring from local breweries and wineries, food trucks, kids’ activities and live music at Chalybeate Park.

What began as a small village garlic festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated autumn weekends.

Special Attractions

This year’s featured attractions center on the animals and landscapes of Upstate New York:

  • The Happy Hags – the theatrical dance troupe performs Sunday only
  • Traveling Therapy Pigs – the Montgomery County nonprofit brings its therapy animals to Main Street
  • New York Wildlife Rescue Center – the Middleburgh organization presents Wildlife Alive!, an up-close educational program featuring rescued animals, drawing on rehabilitation work it has done in Schoharie County since 2007
  • Schoharie County Eagle Trail – details on the 16-stop self-guided birding route running through the heart of the county

Live Music

Saturday, Sept. 19:

11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Doc Benson

1 – 3 p.m. – Burnt Hills Melody Makers

3:30 – 5 p.m. – Doubting Thomas

Sunday, Sept. 20:

11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Laura Gagnon

1 – 3 p.m. – Becca Frame & the Tall Boys

3:15 – 4:45 p.m. – Jeff Grippin

Free parking is available at Sharon Springs Central School, with shuttle buses running regularly to Main Street.

“The Harvest Festival is a celebration of everything that makes Sharon Springs special,” said Turner Roach, festival co-chair. “Sixteen years in, we’re still amazed by the makers, farmers, musicians and volunteers who pour themselves into this weekend – and by the people who travel from across the country just to be here.”

Sharon Springs sits within an easy drive of Albany, Cooperstown, Saratoga and Utica. Area farms and orchards will be open for apple picking and U-pick throughout the weekend.
