Little Falls Cheese Festival planned for Oct. 3
The Little Falls Cheese Festival has announced Oct. 3 as the date for the 2026 Cheese Festival. The festival is a welcoming, fun-filled day along Main Street from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. featuring New York State cheesemakers, gourmet foods, craft beverages, live music and plenty of delicious reasons to bring friends and family along.
“Little Falls has a cheesemaking history that dates back to the 19th century, and we’ve made history every year with the wonderful popularity of our festival,” said Teri Chace of the festival’s planning committee. “We’re grateful for the past enthusiastic support and are excited to welcome visitors and neighbors back downtown for a lively day of delicious food and a fun, relaxed atmosphere.”
The festival is “a unique culinary adventure,” added Chace. It will feature a wide variety of New York farm-produced cheeses, from hard cheeses such as cheddar, gouda and Havarti to soft cheeses, goat cheeses, cheese curds, yogurts, butter and more. New this year will be ticketed, guided cheese tastings led by the Cheese Traveler of Albany, NY.
Guests can also enjoy New York-based gourmet foods and craft beverage vendors, local entertainment and musical acts along Main Street. A variety of food trucks as well as local restaurants and pubs will offer snacks, meals and beverages. Everyone can look forward to a festive downtown atmosphere as they spend the day sampling, savoring and shopping. Free shuttle buses (more and special handicapped ones have been added this year!) will make parking and getting to the festival easier than ever for attendees.
The Little Falls Cheese Festival is New York State’s premier gathering of cheesemakers, drawing thousands to downtown Little Falls each year. Admission, parking and shuttle buses are all free, making it easy to spend the day enjoying the sights, sounds and flavors of the festival.
