First ever Oktoberfest taking place at Utica Maennerchor
The Utica Maennerchor will host its first ever outdoor Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1 – 8 p.m. at the club.
The event will take place under our pavilion and will feature a variety of German food such as currywurst, kaesespaetzle (a German mac and cheese), hahnchen (chicken) and pork schnitzel. There will also be the favorites of bratwurst and knockwurst, red cabbage, kraut, hot dogs and burgers. There will be delicious German and domestic beer and great music to enjoy.
Oktoberfest begins in Germany on Sept. 19 and runs through early October. It’s a celebration of our agricultural roots and although the event says Oktober, it was moved to late September to take advantage of the warmer weather and longer days.
Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the last days of summer. Check out more information on our website – uticamaennerchor.com – or like us on Facebook.
The Utica Maennerchor is one of our community’s oldest nonprofit organizations, dating back to 1861. It is located at 5535 Flanagan Rd., Marcy.
